QUESTION:
Please i really need your assistance on the robot you sell for me. the robot it not working very well at all. it only open sell for about 4 days and it not closing the trade. when the market it buying for hours the robot will be sell. Please i have lose so many dollars on it. Can you help me check if it was the right robot you sent to me. or what can you do for me. ANSWER: This behavior is covered in the user manual. Did you read the entire manual? Did you follow the recommended settings in the manual for account balance, account leverage, account type, and robot settings? The robot is working correctly. It only opens sell orders when you are above the mid-point of the average of the historical high for the currency. The robot takes its profit when the currency comes back down. The trades will only close in profit. Do NOT close any trades manually. If you interfere with the robot you WILL lose your money. Also, if you did not follow the recommended settings then you could be in trouble. Please answer these questions and I can tell you if you’re okay or not: 1. What is your account balance? 2. What is the account leverage? 3. What is the account type (regular, mini, micro) and what is the minimum lot size you can open? 4. What size lots is the robot opening (0.1 or 0.01 etc)? 5. Are there any warning messages? (View the Robots and Journal tabs in MetaTrader). If so, copy them so I can see them. You should be opening 0.01 lots on a $2000 balance. In the meanwhile, I suggest a few things – if you have an appropriate balance and are opening appropriate lot sizes ($2000 balance & 0.01 lots) then let the robot run. If you are running the WRONG balance or WRONG lot sizes (say $200 and 0.01 or 0.1 lots, or $2000 with 0.1 lots) then change “DoTrades” to false in the robot properties and wait until the market closes these trades in profit (which could take days or weeks.) There is a risk you may get a margin call unless you add proper funds to your account so that your account matches the recommended settings as shown in the manual. Please remember that RoboMiner is NOT a scalping robot. It does not close trades every few minutes like a lot of the other robots. RoboMiner is a PROVEN robot which always closes trades in profit IF you follow the directions. You will not see a lot of trades closing every day, but if you follow the directions *exactly* you will likely never lose a trade, but you cannot interfere with the robot! |

FOLLOW-UP QUESTION:
The Robot will open more than one Trade and it will not close any ANSWER: First, you seem to be fine, you do not need to do anything if you read the manual and followed the recommended settings. Just be patient, don’t touch it (unless you changed the settings, you may want to set them to default), and DON’T close any orders (unless you want to lose your money on them!) RoboMiner is a slow robot, and it makes money slowly so you have to be patient. Second, in response to “The Robot will open more than one Trade and it will not close any.” that is correct. RoboMiner opens trades every 40 pips, and it will open multiple orders. I currently have 14 orders open on my account. It carries open trades, and thus carries drawdown, and will do that for days or weeks or sometimes even months. That is by design, and is expected, so you’re okay if you have the correct settings and account balance (and it appears you do). It will only close trades *IF* they are profitable and you have the StealthMode setting as false. (If you have StealthMode true then you MUST have MetaTrader running all the time otherwise profitable trades will not close.) >>> Be sure you have FIFO = false, too, since you are on Alpari UK. <<< Third, I am running an account which started with roughly half the balance you have ($200) and I recently doubled the lot size (from 0.01 to 0.02) and have been doing fine for almost a year now. Here is where I stand right now: Balance: $253 Equity: $193 (so about $60 drawdown) Margin: $14 Free margin: $179 Margin level: 1380% You can see my statement here: http://www.myfxbook.com/members/PipC...iner-pro/11397 NOTE: I am using RoboMiner Pro and have some advanced settings (2-4 instances, high risk lots sizes) but the behavior is basically the same. |
